My Blue Hero - Connecting Kids with the Care They Deserve

At My Blue Hero, we aim to connect families with children with special needs, like ASD, ADHD, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), to caring and experienced healthcare providers who can make a difference.

We know how challenging it can be for children with special needs to access the right healthcare services. But we also know how life-changing this care can be and how much it can help shape a better future for these children. So, we’ve made it our sole mission to improve the lives of millions of families by removing barriers and facilitating this critical specialty healthcare.

How We Began This Journey
When our founder, Everton Dos Santos, found out his son Luciano was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at just 18 months old, he and his wife sought specialized care. Unfortunately, this process was filled with challenges and roadblocks, causing the family considerable pain and hardship. Not wanting other families to face similar struggles, Everton founded My Blue Hero to help them access necessary resources and support and to help make specialized healthcare more accessible and inclusive for all.

An ever-increasing number of children are diagnosed with neurodivergent disorders every year, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and Downs syndrome. As of 2023, an estimated 20% of children population in the US—about 14.8 million children—are considered neurodivergent.

We aim to promote neurodiversity and help remove the stigma associated with all special needs. Neurodiversity celebrates variations of the human brain as beautiful and inspiring. Instead of viewing challenges like autism as disabilities, we view them as a part of what it means to be human. Until society catches up to this idea, we are here to provide resources and guidance for families impacted by any neurodivergent disorder.
